SRINAGAR: The S K Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) has been collecting an average of Rs 34.29 lakh everyday for providing different services to patients, a reply by Minister for Health and Medical Education (H&ME) Bali Bhagat said in the Legislative Assembly here today.
In reply to a question by Abid Hussain Ansari, a ruling PDP member from Zadibal, Mr Bhagat said the revenue generated daily through various centres and sources at SKIMS is approximately Rs 3.49 lakh.
He said the highest collection of Rs 1,50,030 is made from Out Patient Department (OPD) investigation charges followed by Accident and Emergency and Investigation Charges Rs 1,23,525, Hospital charges Rs 47140, Visitors Token Charges Rs 10,560, OPD Registration Charges Rs 10,620, Accident and Emergency Registration Charges Rs 2,910, Gynae and Obstertric hospital of the SKIIMS OPD/IPD investigation charges Rs 2,408,OPD registration charges Rs 1,000,visitors token charges Rs 730 and hospital charges Rs 360.
The minister said during the year an amount of 26,918.50 lakhs were provided to SKIMS under plan and non-plan financial aid during the year 2014-15 while in 2015-16 it was 28,652.05 lakh.
The reply said that land owners who have provided land for the construction of the hospital have been compensated in terms of Land Acquisition Act and no assurance was made by the SKIMS authorities for providing any king of job in lieu of land. (AGENCIES)
