Srinagar, Nov 18: The SKIMS today asked all the HoDs including other staff to ensure adherence to the office timings while warning of disciplinary action in case of further violation.
In a circular issued here by the Director, SKIMS Dr Prof. Parvaiz A. Koul it has been stated that with the onset of the winter season, it has been observed that the employees of SKIMS including HoD’s/Faculty Members have developed a practice of reporting late to their duties despite various circular instructions issued from time to time for maintaining punctuality and marking their attendances through Biometric Attendance System.
“The Biometric Attendance Reports manifest that the adherence to the punctuality has not been maintained and various employees have marked their attendance later than the office hours in the morning and earlier in the evening,” the circular said adding late reporting of the staff has been reported in the OPDs, Operation Theatres and Labs, resulting in demeaning the image and productivity of SKIMS.
The directives impressed upon all the HoDs / Faculty Members / Sectional Heads of SKIMS to ensure that the specified office timings are adhered to strictly by them and the Medical / Paramedical / Nursing / Services / Administrative Staff associated with their work.
“Any sort of laxity will be treated as conduct unbecoming of a government servant that can attract disciplinary action,” the circular said.
