JAMMU, Nov 25: The Union of Civic Safai Karamcharis (SKCs) of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) here today staged a protest demonstration and raised slogans against the alleged outsourcing of sanitation and cleanliness works in one of the three Municipal zones of Jammu city.
The protest was led by Union president, Rinku Gill who said that the authorities concerned were not releasing the list of 600 candidates who have appeared for interviews against the vacancies in JMC and have completed all the required formalities.
“The outsourcing will badly affect the jobs of SKCs and if it is allowed, then the company involved will engage its own people in cleanliness and sanitation of the city and even the vehicles collecting garbage will also be supplied by the company concerned,” he maintained adding: “This will badly hit the interests of our employees and those providing the services of garbage collection and we will never let it happen.”
