JAMMU, Dec 20: Swadeshi Jagran Manch (SJM), Jammu & Kashmir province culminated a series of programmes organized across various schools and colleges on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Shraddheya Rishi Datopant Thengdi, the visionary thinker and founder of Swadeshi Jagran Manch.
The programmes, conducted over the past weeks, focused on the central theme “Role of Women in Entrepreneurship”, highlighting the importance of women as key drivers of economic self-reliance, innovation, and nation-building.
Dignitaries presiding over were Akhil Bhartiya Sah-Sangathak Satish Kumar, Triprantiya Sangathak Vinay Kumar, Nirmala Sharma, Dr Neha Sethi (Punjab Prant Sanyojika), Devyani Rana (MLA Nagrota), Arun Gupta (president, Chamber of Commerce and Industry), Vipan Kumar (J&K prant Sanyojak), Anita Sharma (J&K prant Mahila pramukh) and Deepali Handa (J&K prant Sah-Mahila pramukh).
The culmination programme brought together IAS and KAS officers, academicians, students, social thinkers, entrepreneurs and workers of Swadeshi Jagran Manch. Speakers emphasized that women entrepreneurship is not only a means of economic empowerment but also a strong foundation for strengthening families, society, and the nation. The life, thoughts, and philosophy of Shraddheya Datopant Thengdi were recalled, particularly his vision of a value-based economic model rooted in Indian ethos.
The programme was enriched by two thought-provoking skits depicting the values and teachings of Shraddeya Datopant Thengdi. The atmosphere was further elevated by a soulful rendition of the national song by Malti Sharma. The entire programme was seamlessly and gracefully compered by Dr Nidhi Pathania and Advocate Pooja Uppal Sharma.
