Six injured as car turns turtle

JAMMU, May 22: Six persons including two children were injured when a speeding car turned turtle in Sidhra area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, a Xylo car bearing registration number UP86R-4197 which was carrying some passengers of UP and Delhi today turned turtle near Sidhra bridge as driver of the vehicle lost control over the steering while negotiating the curve.
“In the mishap, six passengers of the vehicle got injured. They were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment”, he said, adding the injured were identified as Sandhya Sharma (36) wife of Rajesh Sharma, her daughter namely Bindu (15) and Deepa (22) daughter of Ashok, all residents of Delhi.
The injured also include Manorma (25) wife of Rinku Sharma, her two-year-old son namely Tanuj and one and half-year-old Divyanshu son of Sunil, all residents of UP.
He said a case has been registered in this connection at police station Nagrota and investigations started.
