JAMMU, Feb 2: The 6-day ‘Charakayan Training Programme’ organized by Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth (RAV), Patanjali Yogpeeth, Haridwar was concluded here today.
The programme was organized for Ayurveda teachers under the Ministry of AYUSH at the National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur.
On the concluding occasion, Founder Secretary of Patanjali Yogpeeth Trust and a renowned scholar of Ayurveda, Acharya Balkrishna said, “The primary goal of ‘Charakayan’ was to highlight the scientific significance of Ayurveda and make it more accessible through practical learning.”
He stated that Ayurveda should not be seen merely as a profession but as a way to rise above financial struggles and attain self-reliance.
Balkrishna urged the participants to embrace Ayurveda in their daily lives and gain experiential knowledge beyond theoretical studies.
“While synthetic medicine has become widespread, Ayurvedic remedies and formulations hold immense potential. However, trust in Ayurveda is essential for its effective application,” he added.
Addressing the gathering, renowned Ayurvedic physician Prof S K Khandel said, “Patanjali’s contribution in making Ayurveda a globally recognized science. Patanjali has set an example of how Ayurveda can be integrated into daily life. The organization has played a crucial role in establishing Ayurveda’s credibility worldwide.”
Distinguished guests who graced the function included Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan Vaidya Devinder Triguna, President, Governing Body, RAV, Dr Rakesh Sharma, Dr Mohan Lal Jaiwal, Santosh Bhated, Dr Anurag, Dr Vandana Sirohia, Dr Hitesh Vyas, Dr Upendra Dixit, Dr Sanjay, Dr Khushbu Pandey, Dr Anurag Singh, Dr Lavneet Sharma, Dr Sataynder Mittal, Prof Anil Kumar, Prof Girish, Prof Suresh Chandra Joshi, Dr Vibhu and Dr Deepa.
