JAMMU, Feb 10: To facilitate the evacuation of generated power from the Pakal Dul (1000 MW), Kiru (624 MW) and Kwar (540 MW) Hydro Electric Projects of Chenab Valley Power Projects Limited (CVPPL) a site inspection was done here today.
The inspection was led by Sandeep Kumar, Conservator of Forests, Chenab Circle, ahead of the Forest Clearance required for the project.
Accompanying him were key officials from CVPPL and Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), who conducted a thorough review of the proposed transmission line’s alignment through the forest area.
The project involves the construction of 400 kV, Double Circuit (D/C), Triple HTLS Transmission Lines, spanning approximately 37 kilometers.
This transmission system is a crucial infrastructure component to evacuate the generated power from the three hydroelectric projects, ensuring a smooth integration into the power grid.
The project is designed to be completed in alignment with the commissioning schedules of the Pakal Dul, Kiru, and Kwar Hydro Electric Projects, which are expected to play a significant role in enhancing the region’s power generation capacity.
The successful implementation of this transmission system will not only help evacuate power efficiently but will also boost the energy supply to the region and support the sustainable development of hydroelectric power generation.
