NEW DELHI, July 11: Silver prices fell 0.17 per cent to Rs 47,007 per kg in futures trade today amid profit-booking by speculators and a weak trend overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in December traded lower by Rs 78, or 0.17 per cent, to Rs 47,007 per kg in a business turnover of five lots.
Similarly, the white metal for delivery in September eased by Rs 61, or 0.15 per cent, to Rs 46,171 per kg in a business volume of 272 lots.
In the international market, silver prices traded lower by 0.16 per cent at USD 21.38 an ounce in Singapore.
Market analysts said apart from profit-booking by participants, a weak trend in global markets led to the fall in silver prices at futures trade here. (PTI)
