JAMMU, July 11: The Crime Branch (CB) Jammu has registered three separate FIRs against a Sub-Inspector, a teacher, and an Anganwadi worker for allegedly securing Government jobs by using fake and forged documents.

A Crime Branch official said an FIR was registered against one Mohinder Paul, currently posted in IRP 4th Battalion, for allegedly joining the J&K Police (JKAP) in 1995 using fake educational certificates.
According to him, the case was filed following a complaint by one Sita Ram of Nowshera, and after departmental and preliminary verification found prima facie evidence of fraud.
In the second case, he said, one Govind Kumar of Khamb, R S Pura has been booked for allegedly obtaining a teacher’s job in 2004 under the ReT scheme using a fake Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC).
The complaint in this case was lodged by one Bachan Lal of Suchetgarh, said the Crime Branch official.
He said the third case involves Ghulam Hassan Naik, a Government teacher, and his daughter Shakeela Bano, an Anganwadi worker from Khari, Ramban.
“A complaint alleged that Shakeela Bano, despite being illiterate, was appointed as AWW after her father allegedly tampered with her school records to fabricate educational qualifications,” the Crime Branch official said.
“As such, the two, along with others, have been booked for forgery and misrepresentation,” he added.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Crime Branch Jammu, Benam Tosh confirmed that FIRs 33/2025, 34/2025, and 35/2025 under the relevant sections of the law have been registered and further investigations are underway.
