JAMMU, Sept 6: A week-long Shrimad Bhagwat Katha is scheduled to be held at Shiv Temple, Sector 5–7, Trikuta Nagar (Jammu) from September 8 to 14. The spiritual discourse will be delivered daily from 3 PM to 7 PM.
The Katha will be recited by Shri Ram Sakhajoo Maharaj (Kanahaji), a resident of Vrindavan, who is known for his soulful and devotional narrations of sacred texts.
According to organizers, the programme will begin on September 8 with the Mahaatmya Katha and Shukdev-Pareekshit Charitra. It will be followed by Mangala Charan and Pareekshit Janm on September 9, and Vidur and Dhruv Charitra on September 10.
The incarnations of Narsingh and Vaman along with Ram Janm and Shree Krishan Janm will be recited on September 11, while Krishna Bal Leela, Govardhan Puja and Chhappar Mahotsav will mark September 12.
On September 13, devotees will hear Maharas, Mathura Gaman, Gopi Uddhav Samvad and Rukmini Vivah, culminating on September 14 with Sudama Charitra, Shukdev Vidaii, Phool Holi and concluding Bhandara at 7 PM.
Organizers said the programme has been arranged to provide devotees with an opportunity to seek blessings and gain spiritual enrichment. They appealed to people to attend the event with their families and take part in the melodious recitation of the Bhagwat Katha.
