Short Term Programme held

JAMMU, Apr 26: A one week Short Term Programme on appropriate Technology and its dissemination was organized by Govt Polytechnic Jammu in collaboration with National Institute of Technical Training Teacher and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh.
Government Polytechnic for Women, I.E.C.S Polytechnic, N.P Polytechnic, N.I.T.S Polytechnic and Kalamkari Polytechnics where Community Development through Polytechnic (CDTP) scheme of M.H.R.D is running participated.
During the workshop, experts Dr Prem from Kissan Vikas Kender, R.S Pura, R.L Bangotra from Agriculture Deptt., M.G Singh from Apiculture Department and Shaila Irim from Rural Development Department delivered lectures. The various field visits were also organized during the workshop to enhance the knowledge of staff of CDTP scheme regarding vegetable dying, fishery and vermin culture beds, block and screen printing. The resource person from NITTTR Chandigarh was Dr Poonam Syal, Associate Professor, Rural Department.
