JAMMU, Sept 19: A one week short term course on `Concrete Technology – New Trends’ was organized at Government Polytechnic Jammu.
During the course, which was organized in collaboration with National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh, faculty from Civil Engineering and Architecture Engineering Department of Government and Private Polytechnics from Jammu divisions participated.
Principal of the College Er Ritu Jamwal, presented the welcome address while Co-ordinator of the programme from NITTTR Chandigarh, were; Professor Hemant Sood and Jasvir Singh Rattan, Sr Technician. Expert lectures were delivered by Er Gurbachan Singh, Ex-Principal and Er V K Dogra, Assistant Professor from SMVDU.
During the programme the field visit was organized and the faculty visited the Pre Mixing Plant of ERA at Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu.
Others who were present on the occasion, included Er I J Singh, Er K S Bhatia, Er Manjeet Singh and HODs of various departments. The local co-ordinator of the Programme was Er Manish Kumar, HoD I&C Deptt.
