Shopkeepers held, liquor recovered

NOWSHERA, Jan 22: The police in Nowshera sub division arrested two local shopkeepers after recovery of illicit liquor from their shop in the area.
Reports said that on a reliable information, a shop namely- Raja Chicken Dhaba at Bus Stand, Nowshera was raided in presence of Magistrate and two shopkeepers were intercepted.
The shop belonged to Vishal Choudhary, son of Satpal Chowdhary, a resident of Chowki and Dhiraj Kumar alias Raja, son of Sansar Chand, resident of Chowki, Nowshera.
During raid, police recovered and seized illicit liquor from the shop which the accused were looking to sell illegally taking advantage of the dry day being declared in the UT today.
The recovery include Rum 12 bottles (750ml each), Whisky 12 bottles (750ml each), Whisky 100 quarters (180ml each), Special Whisky 50 quarters (180 ml each).
A total 24 bottles and 150 quarters have been recovered. Cognizance in the instant matter has been taken at Police Station Nowshera.
