JAMMU, July 28: A shopkeeper died today due to electrocution in Channi Rama area on city outskirts.
According to a police official, the deceased has been identified as Parladh Prasad (45) son of Radha Krishan, resident of Bihar. He said the man was presently living in Channi Rama, where he used to run a Karyana shop.
“Parladh received severe electric shock from the refrigerator in his shop,” the official said, adding he was immediately rushed to GMC Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
He said that the body was sent for postmortem while inquest proceeding under 174 CrPC was initiated in this connection by Narwal police.
