JAMMU, July 12: Akhnoor Police arrested a shopkeeper along with 360 bags of unauthorised cement.
As per police sources, on specific information received from reliable sources, a team from Police Station Akhnoor conducted raid in a shop and seized 101 bags of unauthorised cement, which the shop owner unloaded from a truck bearing registration number JK02X-7851. The owner of the shop identified as Parveen Kumar, son of Satpaul of Gusan Akhnoor was arrested on the spot.
The truck driver managed to escape from the spot and hunt has been launched to nab him. However, the truck has been seized.
The shop and 259 more bags of unauthorised cement have also been seized.
A case under FIR Number 182/2021 under Sections 407, 408, 411 and 120-B IPC was registered at Police Station Akhnoor and investigation is on to unearth the nexus.
The whole operation was carried out by a team from Police Station Akhnoor led by PSI Karnail Singh Parihar under supervision of SHO Akhnoor Inspector Hilal Azhar.
