Shop damaged in fire incident in Khawas area

RAJOURI, Nov 27: A Karyana shop owned by Kuldeep Raj, son of Sitaram and a resident of Khawas in Rajouri district, suffered extensive damage in a fire incident last night.
Reports said the unfortunate incident caused significant loss to the shopkeeper, affecting his livelihood. The fire broke out suddenly during night hours. The residents of the area and the owner rushed to the spot and tried to extinguish the fire. However, they failed in their efforts. Moreover, there is no Fire and Emergency services facility.
The local police from Khawas Police Post, also reached the site. The cause of fire incident could not be immediately known. The police has registered a case in this connection. The loss of property is also being assessed.
The local community promptly extended their support, offering immediate help to Kuldeep Raj during this difficult time. They also appealed to the district administration to step forward and provide financial assistance or relief to the shopkeeper to help him recover from the loss.
Former Sarpanch, Khawas, Gian Chand Sharma emphasized the need for the administration to take swift action to support Kuldeep Raj, as such incidents deeply impact small traders.
The community hopes the administration will respond to their plea and extend all possible help to ensure the rehabilitation of the shopkeeper at the earliest.
