JAMMU, Sept 9: Shiv Sena (UT) has announced that its traditional holy Chhari Yatra will commence from the historic Shri Raghunath Ji Temple in Jammu on September 21 in the form of a Shobha Yatra. On the following day, the first Shubh Navratri (September 22), devotees will perform Chhari Pujan and have Darshan at the holy cave of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi.
Addressing a press conference at the Party’s central office, State president Manish Sahni said a delegation of leaders met Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board officials, including Joint CEO Satish Kumar (JKAS) and Tehsildar Anil Charak, to review the arrangements for the Yatra and the resumption of regular pilgrimage. He said the Board has given its nod for the Chhari Yatra.
Sahni said the procession will pass through Raghunath Bazaar, Purani Mandi and other main markets before offering prayers at Kol Kandoli in Nagrota and proceeding towards Katra. A Bhandara will also be organized at Shri Raghunath Ji temple.
On the occasion, several local leaders joined the Shiv Sena. Sahni also announced new appointments, including Raju Kapoor as Co-Chairman and Aditya Mahajan as secretary.
