Shiv Sena protests against bad roads

JAMMU, Oct 13: Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) J&K unit here today staged a protest demonstration against the dilapidated roads and poor traffic system in Jammu.
The protest was led by Shiv Sena J&K president, Manish Sahni and the protesters urged the authorities concerned to repair the damaged roads within 15 days.
The protesters flayed the government and claimed that there are many potholes on the road linking busy Dogra Chowk with Tawi Bridge.
Manish Sahni said that Smart City Jammu is being identified with pits on the roads and poor traffic system. “Spending crores of rupees on sign boards, flash lights, and large LED screens does not make a city smart,” he maintained adding: “Bad roads are proving to be a silent killer and between the year 2019 and October 2024, road accidents in the Union Territory have claimed 4,899 lives and left 40,065 injured.”
Vikas Bakshi, Sanjeev Kohli, Raj Singh, Aditya Mahajan, Raju Kapoor, Jasbir Singh, Neelam, Om Parkash, Deeraj Kohli, Arun, Ganesh and many others were also present in the protest.
