JAMMU, July 12: Shiv Sena UBT J&K unit has demanded that Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) should be dismissed and the management of Yatra-2026 should be given to Hindu religious leaders and Shankaracharyas.
Addressing a press conference here today Manish Sahni, president Shiv Sena UBT J&K unit flayed the working of SASB while sharing some pictures taken during the live Aarti of Shri Amarnath shrine and quoting the information received from the pilgrims regarding disappearance of Holy Icelingam.
“This has hurt the religious sentiments of lakhs of devotees,” he maintained adding<, “The record heat of Kashmir can also be a reason for the melting of Icelingam but the movement of vehicles through Baltal before the start of Yatra and the Darshan of Baba Barfani by thousands of VVIPs, VIPs, favourites and bureaucrats cannot be ignored.”
Sahni also demanded refunding of the registration money to the pilgrims.
Meenakshi Chhibber, president Women Wing; Sanjeev Kohli, working president and Happy Verma, president Youth Unit were also present on this occasion.
