JAMMU, Oct 22: Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K unit here today staged a protest demonstration against the alleged increase in bovine smuggling cases after the reorganization of J&K.
The protest was led by Shiv Sena J&K chief, Manish Sahni and the protesters were holding placards with ‘I love Gau Mata’ written on them.
They demanded that Omar Abdullah led J&K Government as well as the Union Government should enact strict laws against bovine smuggling in order to protect the cows.
“Increase in number of cow smuggling cases not only hurt religious sentiments but also poses law and order threat,” Sahni said adding: “Those who claim to be the custodians of Hindus remain silent when it comes to enacting strict laws against cow smuggling.”
