Shiv Sena demands Statehood restoration

JAMMU, Feb 26: Shiv Sena UBT J&K unit has stated that BJP led Government at the Centre has maintained silence on fulfilling the promise of Statehood restoration to J&K and the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah along with his Ministers are unable to move beyond verbal protests.
In a press conference here today Shiv Sena J&K president, Manish Sahni urged all the parties to rise above political and personal interests and put pressure on the Central Government for restoring Statehood.
He warned protests outside the Legislative Assembly from day one of the budget session starting from March 3 in this regard.
Sahni also claimed that J&K continuing as Union Territory is an insult to the public opinion.
Shiv Sena general secretary, Vikas Bakshi was also present in the press conference.
