JAMMU, June 28: Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K unit here today expected record number of pilgrims to join the annual Amarnath Yatra.
In a programme Shiv Sena J&K chief, Manish Sahni demanded on-spot free registration for the visiting pilgrims along with increase in number of registration counters and pilgrim quota.
Sahni expressed confidence that on spot registration will increase the number of pilgrims as compared to those of previous years.
He condemned the sidelining of local Hindu political and non-political organizations as selected and Kashmir-based parties were invited in a meeting organized by J&K LG regarding arrangements for the Yatra.
On this occasion a dozen youth including Rakesh Kohli, Himanshu Verma, Arun Mangotra, Akhil Sehgal, Hiratesh Verma, Gulshan Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Krishna Gupta, Mukesh Kumar and other joined Shiv Sena and were welcomed in the party by president Women Wing Meenakshi Chhibber, senior vice president Sanjeev Kohli and president Kamghar Raj Singh.
Sahni appointed Vinod Verma as Jammu City Youth president.
