JAMMU, Mar 30: J&K unit of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) has demanded more facilities for Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra.
A delegation led by J&K Shiv Sena president, Manish Sahni met Alok Maurya, Additional CEO Shrine Board, Satish Sharma, Joint CEO, Anil Charak, Tehsildar and submitted a detailed memorandum demanding the need to introduce priority Darshan system for elderly and specially-abled pilgrims.
The delegation also demanded increasing the resting facilities at Adhkuwari and free Langar facilities at Adhkuwari and Bhawan, especially to support poor and long-distance devotees.
Expansion of Sarai facilities for economically weaker pilgrims was among other demands along with the demand for the promotion of other prominent religious sites of Jammu like Shiv Khori, Sudhmahadev, Mantalai, Purmandal, Uttar Behni and Bawe Wali Mata by installing modern signboards and digital kiosks along the Yatra route.
