Shiv Sena delegation meets JMC Commissioner

JAMMU, Feb 21: A delegation of Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K unit led by its president, Manish Sahni here today met Dr. Devansh Yadav, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Commissioner and submitted a memorandum of demands like creation of self-employment opportunities for local youth.
Manish Sahni said that the growing frustration among J&K youth due to lack of employment is a matter of deep concern.
“Jammu lacks proper space and resources required to start self-employment,” he told the Commissioner.
Under ‘Apno Ko Kaam’ campaign, the Shiv Sena leader demanded that small shops or kiosks be built at Ward level and be allotted only to local unemployed youth at nominal rent and with transparency to create local employment opportunities.
He also demanded 100 per cent priority for local youth in all development projects and contracts.
Dr. Yadav listened to the suggestions and assured the delegation of prompt positive action.
Vikas Bakshi, Shiv Sena general secretary and Sanjeev Kohli, working president were also present on the occasion.
