JAMMU, Apr 14: The activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) started indefinite Jan Andolan for shifting the NIT campus to Jammu and held a strong Tirang yatra rally today.
Sunil Dimple, president, JWAM led a strong protest demonstration against the HRD Minister Smriti Irani for not visiting the NIT Srinagar campus, against the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Deputy CM, Dr Nirmal Singh for their open refusal about shifting the NIT from Kashmir and for their irresponsible statements terming the NIT episode as a non issue and dubbing non-Kashmiri students as trouble shooters as also for appreciating Sayeed Ali Shah Geelani’s statement and role on NIT.
Addressing the protesters, Dimple announced that strong protest demonstrations will be held on April 19 for shifting NIT campus to Jammu on the visit of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi in Jammu.
Dimple announced indefinite Jan Andolan from today for the shifting of NIT Srinagar to Jammu and migration of the non local students to other parts of the country as they are not safe in NIT Srinagar.
He appealed all the organizations and the people of the Jammu region to unite as it is the fight of National forces against the anti-Nationals.
