JAMMU, Nov 10: Shiban Dudha a prominent Chartered Accountant and a Kashmiri Pandit leader died at New Delhi this morning after a massive heart attack. He was 53.
Mr Dudha is survived by his wife, a son and daughter. Mr Dudha took part in Kashmiri Pandit affairs soon after the mass exodus and remained associated with various KP organizations since then. He was general secretary of All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS) and also remained associated with Kashmir Samiti Delhi (KSD). He was presently also a member of KSD.
Mr Dudha fought 2008 elections unsuccessfully from Amirakadal Assembly segment in Central Kashmir district of Srinagar and later he also contested the Legislative Council elections unsuccessfully. He had joined the National Conference (NC) last month. Many KP organisations including AIKS, KSD, KPC, ASKPC, AIKPC etc have expressed grief and shock over his sudden demise and termed it a great loss to community.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has expressed grief over the sad and sudden demise of political activist Shiban Dudha.
In his condolence message to the bereaved family, the Chief Minister has expressed his sympathy and solidarity with the family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
