JAMMU, Dec 24: Vishva Brahmin Kalyan Parishad, headquartered in New Delhi, today made an important organizational announcement by appointing Jagdish Raj Shastri as the UT president of Jammu & Kashmir.
The appointment was formally announced by the National president of the Parishad and former Governor of Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh, Kalraj Mishra.
A felicitation and honour ceremony was organized in the Press Club Jammu in the presence of executive members, social workers, and distinguished members of society. Jagdish Raj Shastri was formally honoured by the Parishad for his appointment and future responsibilities.
The event was held under the guidance and blessings of the chief patron of the Parishad, Mahamandaleshwar Shri Kailash Anand Giri Ji Maharaj whose presence inspired the organization and attendees alike.
Addressing a press conference after the ceremony, Jagdish Raj Shastri expressed his gratitude and commitment, stating, “ I sincerely thank Vishva Brahmin Kalyan Parishad for showing faith and confidence in me. I assure that I will carry out my responsibilities fearlessly, with dedication and integrity, and will work to take the Parishad’s vision, policies, and programmes to the grassroots.”
He further emphasized that the Parishad’s mission is not limited to the upliftment of the Brahmin community alone, but also aims to address the issues and concerns of all sections of society through collective efforts. He said in the coming days Parishad will reach every district and village of Jammu & Kashmir, listen to the problems of the people, and make every possible effort to provide assistance and solutions.
Shastri and his associates took a collective pledge to work towards social harmony, strengthening the organization, preserving cultural values, promoting education, and supporting the underprivileged.
