Sharp Sight unveils technological advances

Srinagar, Sept 22: Sharp Sight Eye Hospital today celebrated a decade of service in Kashmir as it unveiled its latest technologies in advanced eye care.
Speaking at an event organized in this regard, Dr. Samir Sud, Co-founder and Director of Sharp Sight, highlighted the hospital’s commitment to bringing cutting-edge eye treatments to Kashmir.
He introduced several innovations, including Extended Depth of Focus (EDOF) lenses for cataract patients, offering clearer vision across distances and myopia control glasses for children, designed to slow the progression of short-sightedness linked to rising screen use.
He also informed about the advanced retina care services for conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, and age-related macular degeneration, oculoplasty and eye cancer management for reconstructive and tumour-related cases, modern glaucoma management, using advanced screening and treatment protocols.
CEO, Deepshikha Sharma noted that Sharp Sight has treated nearly one lakh patients in Kashmir and has performed over 10,000 surgeries in the last decade.
“Our mission is to provide metro-level eye care locally by combining technology with compassionate service,” she said.
