JAMMU, Oct 27: The new gate of Government SPMR College of Commerce was inaugurated by Shantmanu, Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Higher Education Department, here today.
The inauguration ceremony was organized in the presence of Principal of the college Prof (Dr) Rajinder Singh, Sandeep Gupta (XEN PWD Div Bakshi Nagar) along with junior engineers of the department, staff and students of the college.
Shantmanu also assessed the other ongoing construction projects in the college and appreciated the college administration for their dedicated efforts in upgrading facilities, which not only enhance the campus’s aesthetic appeal but also help ensure safety and convenience for students, faculty and visitors.
Principal of SPMR College, Prof (Dr) Rajinder Singh in his address expressed gratitude to the Higher Education Department for their continuous support and sanctioning of this project, which was a long standing demand of the faculty and students.
“The new gate would assist in solving the traffic congestion problem in the area and also add beauty to the overall look of the prestigious college campus,” he added.
