JAMMU, Jan 17: MLA Jammu North, Sham Lal Sharma here today toured Municipal Wards 61 and 67 and addressed the developmental and civic needs of the people.
Sharma visited Muthi, Lower Muthi, Kalka Nagar, Tomal Luxmi Vihar, Anand Nagar, Udheywala and Patta Bhori and interacted with the residents besides inspecting the ongoing projects and reviewing civic infrastructure.
Several critical issues were highlighted and addressed during visit of the MLA.
Road widening project in Lower Muthi was reviewed and Sharma emphasizing the urgency of expediting the work to enhance connectivity and to address traffic congestion.
The under-construction Kalka Nagar Road was inspected and strict instructions were given to ensure project’s timely completion with adherence to quality standards.
The MLA noted the poor condition of lanes and drains in many areas and directed immediate repairs and regular maintenance to prevent water-logging and to improve drainage.
Concern about irregular drinking water supply was raised by the residents, prompting Sham Sharma to direct PHE Department to ensure equitable and uninterrupted water distribution.
The senior BJP leader also reviewed the DPRs for Kalka Nagar and Tomal area Nallahs.
He stated that his primary focus is to ensure the availability of all basic amenities including clean drinking water, proper sanitation, well-maintained roads and reliable electricity, to every resident of Jammu North constituency.
The MLA was accompanied by XEn PWD (R&B) Division Satwari, Atul Gupta, XEn JMC (Works), Akhil Dutt, Sanitation Officer JMC, Romesh Wazir, AEE PHE (Civil), Rajeshwar Kumar, AEE PDD, Ramanjeet Rathore, AEE UEED, Sunil Thappa, Mandal president Muthi Paloura, Pankaj Padha and ex-Councillor, Mohinder Kumar.
