JAMMU, July 13: Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Lal Sharma today reiterated the Coalition Government’s resolve to work for the upliftment and improvement of the living standard of the people living in rural and far-flung areas of the State.
The Minister was speaking after inaugurating Chenab Motor Yamaha Showroom at Darkal Morh, Akhnoor here today.
Sham said that Government was committed to provide improved facilities to the people especially to the people living in rural and remote areas to uplift their economic status. He said that Central and State Governments have launched a number of welfare schemes for the people and asked them to come forward and avail benefits of these schemes.
Sham asked the unemployed youth to venture into the private sector instead of hankering after Government jobs which are limited. He asked them to avail facilities provided under self employment schemes and bank loans for establishing their own income generating units.
He appreciated the efforts of the prop M/s Chenab Motor for opening the showroom and asked the owner to provide job in their firm to local youth.
