JAMMU, Nov 26: MLA Doda West, Shakti Raj Parihar, today called on Union Minister in PMO with Independent Charge of Science and Technologuy, Dr. Jitendra Singh, seeking immediate attention and early sanction for the long-pending Dranga to Shri Ramrachna (Chota Manimahesh) road under the Central Road Fund (CRF).
The proposed road project holds major significance for tourism, employment generation, and improved connectivity in block Marmat, district Doda. Shri Ramrachna (Chota Manimahesh) is an important religious and tourist destination, and the lack of road connectivity has caused persistent difficulties for devotees and locals alike, Parihar said.
He highlighted that discussions on this important road link had been delayed for several years, depriving the region of its true development potential. In addition, he also requested the Union Minister to expedite work on the proposed alternate Sudh Mahadev-Goha-Marmat Highway, stressing that this Highway will serve as a major lifeline for the people of Marmat and adjoining areas.
“These projects are not just roads-they represent the aspirations of the people of Marmat and the surrounding region,” MLA Shakti stated.
“Early approval and execution will open new avenues for socio-economic growth, tourism development, and overall regional upliftment”, he said.
Shakti Parihar reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that long-pending public demands are addressed with urgency, transparency, and sincerity.
