JAMMU, May 25: Shakeel Ahmad has been appointed as president of Urban Malaria Employees Union (UMEU), here today.
Bikram Singh was elected as vice-president, while Rajesh Kumar as general secretary, Jeewan Singh as secretary, Vijay Kumar as organising secretary, Bharat Bhushan as cashier and Ashok Kumar was announced as chief advisor of the Union.
The body was announced during the meeting of the Union which was organised under the chairmanship of Ashok Kumar- In-charge Anti Malaria Officer at Parade Ground, here. During the meeting, the office bearers raised various issues including grant of risk allowance, regular conduct of DPC, preparation of seniority of the UMCP employees and providing uniform and other protective gear like goggles, masks, caps, gum boots and gloves etc.
