JAMMU, Nov 13: AGMUT cadre IPS officer Shailendra Mishra, who has earlier served the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir in different capacities, has been granted a one-year extension in his deputation as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
As per an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the deputation period of Dr Mishra, currently serving as DIG at the NIA Branch office in Mumbai, has been extended for one year beyond April 4, 2026-making his total tenure six years-or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
A 2009 batch IPS officer, Dr Mishra has earlier served in Jammu and Kashmir Police as SSP in Udhampur, Kathua, and Shopian districts before proceeding on central deputation.
