Shab-e-Qadar, Jumat –ul-Vida celebrated with religious fervor, gaiety across Jammu region

JAMMU, June 23: The Shab-e-Qadar and Jumat –ul –Vida were celebrated with full religious fervor and gaiety by members of Muslim community across Jammu region today.
In this connection the night long prayers were held in the mosques for peace and prosperity of mankind.
A large number of members of Muslim community thronged the mosques during last night to participated in the Shab-e-Qadar prayers and recitation of holy Quran. The religious discourses were given by the Imams (Muslim clerics) at different mosques who threw light on the holy festival and also on the holy month of Ramadan.
They said that holy month of Ramadan shows us the right path and is the best kind of example for maintaining the self control.
The clerics also highlighted the teachings of Islam which teaches brotherhood and of peace. They threw light on the various aspects of life and teachings of Prophet Mohammed also.
The religious gatherings in Jammu were held in the Jama Masjid  Khatin Ka Talban, Jama Masjid Ustad Mohall, Jama Masjid, Taw bridge, Jama Masjid, Sunjwan, Bhatindi and various other places in which a large number of members of the community participated.
This was followed by the celebration of Jumat -Ul-Vida today and the Namaz was offered in various mosques by the members of the community. The Jumat -Ul -Vida is observed on the Last Friday of holy month of Ramadan.
The Muslims sought peace and mercy of Allah the almighty God. The clerics in their discourses threw light on the teachings of Islam and said that Islam shows the path of righteousness, humanity and sacrifice.
The Shab-e-Qadar and Jumat-ul-Vida were observed at Rajouri, Poonch, Doda, , Mendhar,  Surankote, Kishtwar, Doda, Bhadarwah, Ramban, Banihal, Bani and other towns of the Jammu region also. Thousands of Muslims thronged the mosques in these areras during last night and today also and offered special prayers held on Shab=e-Qadar and Jumat –ul-Vida. Religious discourses were given by the clerks in the mosques and teachings of holy Quran were highlighted.
