JAMMU, Jan 28: On the eve of 649th Prakash Utsav of Sant Shiromani Shri Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj, All Jammu & Kashmir Guru Ravidass Sabha today took out an impressive Shobha Yatra in Jammu City.
The Shobha Yatra took off from the Sabha Head office at Krishna Nagar, Jammu, under the convenorship of R C Bhasin. Prominent senior members of the Biradari viz. CL Banal, Amar Nath Bavouria, Paras Ram Angral, M R Bangotra, B R Chadgal, D D Gorka, Dr Rajinder Sambyal and many others flagged off the procession. Later on, Sri Sri 108 Swami Gurdip Giri Maharaj joined the Shobha Yatra as a spiritual authority of the Ravidasia Samaj.
The Yatra passed through various bazaars of Jammu city and culminated at Bahu Fort Gurudwara as decided earlier. Large numbers of baradari members participated with full zeal and enthusiasm in the Yatra along with the beautiful Jhankies depicting the life history of Guru Ravidass ji Maharaj.
On the way, various stalls were arranged by the devotes where eatables, water etc were distributed to the followers. At Bahu Fort, Shri Shri 108 Swami Gurdip Giri Maharaj delivered a spiritual sermon. Later on, Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Bahu Fort felicitated different heads of the Sabhas and prominent members of the Biradari.
Civil & Police administration of the District Jammu had made elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of the Yatra.
