Sir,
Much has been said and done in the wake of Delhi-rape case. Both the Govt and the society have felt a need for deterrent punishment to the culprits and find out ways and means to curb such criminal tendency among the youths. But it is very surprising that even in the intervening period many such cases have come to surface. In fact, extreme leanings towards sex and money have made our society and the Govts so worthless that despite many efforts, the results are not so encouraging. Actually, collapse moral values is the fundamental cause for all such crimes. The present education, no doubt, enables one to have healthy earnings but the parameters of good citizenship are not strengthened.
Harsh laws are needed but significance of moral and ethical values is also equally necessary.
