Sewa Bharti, NMO hold free medical checkup camp at Gorkha Nagar

JAMMU, Mar 18: In pursuit of reaching to the common masses Sewa Bharti J&K, in collaboration with National Medicos Organization (NMO) J&K Ladakh organized a one-day free medical health checkup camp titled ‘Ek Diwaniya”Mata Sadhvi” Swasthya Shivir’at Gorkha Nagar, Bagh-e-Bahu here, today. The event was patronized by Joydeb Roy Singha (Dada Jee), Akhil Bhartiye Chatravaas Pramukh, Priyadarshani Sharma, Sewa Pramukh Prant J&K.
The event was inaugurated by Dr Sanjay Dhar, Sangathan Mantri NMO Prant J&K Ladakh and Plastic Surgeon GMC Jammu. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Kulwant Singh Bhau president NMO Prant J&K Ladakh emphasized the need of more such medical camps in urban Sewa Bastis of the Union Territory so as to attain maximum outreach in the society. The organizations had been conducting similar free medical camps in remote areas of Kashmir Division too on regular basis.
Various specialists from different disciplines provided their services including Dr Bhavani Raina, Eye Specialist, Additional Professor, AIIMS Vijaypur, Dr Sadhna Kotwal Senior Gynecologist, Dr Vinod Khajuria Orthopedician, Dr Akhil Gupta Orthopedician, Dr Sweety Targotra Dentist Jammu, Dr Diksha Sharma, Medical Officer, Dr Prarthna GMC Jammu. Neha Sapolia from Sewa Bharti assisted by Mata Jee of Government Boys Middle School Gorkha Nagar coordinated the event under supervision of Sewa Bharti Swasthya Ayam Pramukh Ajay Takoo.
About 100 beneficiaries availed the benefits of the free health checkup and counseling. In addition, blood sugar monitoring, blood pressure monitoring and free medicine as prescribed by the participating health professionals was also distributed to the beneficiaries.
