JAMMU, Mar 1: Several Panchs, Sarpanchs and social activists from district Rajouri, including Shazia Tabassum Choudhary (ex-Sarpanch and general secretary BJP Rajouri), Mohd Razaq Choudhary, Maneer Choudhary, Mehroof Choudhary and Nazeer Hussain (All ex-Panchs), Rakesh Kumar, Rajesh Sharma & Neeraj Singh (ex-servicemen), and many senior leaders joined the Congress party here today at PCC headquarters Shaheedi Chowk Jammu.
They were welcomed in the party by JKPCC president Tariq Hameed Karra, Ved Mahajan ex-MLC Incharge HQ, Shabir Ahmed Khan president DCC Rajouri, Ch Iftikhar Ahmed (MLA) & and others.
Speaking on the occasion PCC president said that Congress Party is an instrument of service to the people, which has remained dedicated to the cause of serving the people. The Congress Party is duty bound to address the urges and aspirations of the people, for the fact, it is the Congress Party alone which has always taken care of the urges and aspirations of the common man. He said Congress party believes in strengthening the people and is committed to equitable development of the JK UT. He described BJP dispensation as anti-poor, anti youth, anti kissan and due to its wrong policies the sufferings of the people increased manifold. The insensitive government pushed people to the wall, as unemployment has increased, prices have risen and developmental activities have suffered a lot.
Karra said that people who want to contribute to the political discourse and development of the Jammu and Kashmir must become part of the Congress’s growth story. The doors are open for the people who want to contribute in the party’s efforts to see the state out of the present mess Congress is committed for the people’s cause and will always uphold their aspirations and sentiments, he added.
While speaking on the occasion who joined Congress party said that they are impressed with the working and secular approach of Congress party which is progressing very fast under the dynamic leadership of Mallikarjun Kharge and young leader Rahul Gandhi. They said that in the present time it is only the Congress Party which can lead the country to the prosperity and development.
