SAMBA, June 18: Police in Samba district claimed to seized seven vehicles, including four dumpers, for their alleged involvement in illegal mining.
A police official said that the seizures were made by SHOs Ghagwal, Ramgarh, Bari Brahamana, Samba, and incharge Police Post Rakh Amb Talli under the supervision of SSP Samba Virinder Manhas while patrolling in their respective jurisdictional areas.
Post seizure, the vehicles were handed over to the Geology & Mining Department for further action, he said.
