JAMMU, June 28: Seven members of a family, who were going for the darshan of Baba Chambliyal in Swankhan area of Vijaypur in Samba district, were injured after their car collided with the divider of the road near Patli Morh.
The accident occurred at about 2 am today when the family in their Maruti 800 Car bearing registration number JK02J-3275 was on their way to the shrine of Baba Chambliyal in Vijaypur area from Jammu.
According to the reports the accident occurred due to the negligence of driver of the car, who allegedy got slept while driving.
The injured has been identified as Raj Rani (77) wife of Goni Ram of Lakkar Mandi (Jammu), driver of the car, Kuldeep Kumar (55) son of Kedar Nath, his wife, Asha (52) and son, Inderjeet (34), his wife Meena Mehta (28) and sons-Basu (5) and Gautam (3), all residents of Roop Nagar.
The injured were immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where after providing treatment, some of them, who had got minor injuries, were discharged.
A case in this regard has been registered at police station Bari-Brahmana.
