JAMMU, Oct 4: Seven people were injured today in separate road mishaps in city and its outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, a pedestrian was hit and injured by a car this morning here at Indira Chowk. The injured was identified as Sudama Sharma (55) son of Anteryami Sharma, a resident of Orrisa (at present Vikram Chowk).
A woman identified as Reeta Pandita (50) wife of Sudesh Krishan, a resident of Bantalab, was injured when the scooter she was going on with one of his relatives, was hit by an unknown vehicle at Roop Nagar area falling under the limits of police station Janipur.
Three persons identified as Suman (31) son of Nath Ram, Rakesh (35) son of Om Prakash and his wife, Sonia (31), all residents of Bishnah, today got injured in the collision of two bikes at Reyal area of Bishnah.
A 6-year old girl was hit and critically injured by a car at Roop Nagar area falling under the limits of police station Janipur. The injured girl was identified as Nandni daughter of Jagdish, a resident of Roop Nagar.
A youth identified as Sahil Kumar (18) son of Ashwani Kumar, a resident of Bhawani Nagar (Talab Tillo, Jammu), was also injured when the scooty he was riding on, was hit by a mini-bus at new bridge in Phlain Mandaal area falling under the limits of police post Belicharana.
All the injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment. In all cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance.
