KISHTWAR, Aug 4: Police here today cracked two burglary cases and arrested seven thieves and recovered the stolen things worth Rs. 3.30 lakh from them.
SSP Kishtwar, Naresh Singh said on August 3, 2025, a written complaint was lodged by DGM Patel Engineering at Police Post Dool regarding theft of construction material from Dool Stock Yard.
The theft had occurred on August 2, 2025 night and the stolen items included 34– 20 mm thick MS Sheets (0.635 x 0.4 mtr), 30– 20 mm thick MS Sheets (0.4 x 0.42 mtr), 48– 12 mm thick MS Sheets (0.56 x 0.1 mtr) and 31– Gantry Joint Pins and 2– Turnbuckles.
Accordingly, an FIR with No. 178/2025 under sections 331(4), 305 BNS was registered at Police Station Kishtwar. Additionally, a separate case under FIR No. 180/2025 U/S 303(2) BNS was also taken up for investigation.
Acting on the directions of SSP Kishtwar, special Police teams led by SHO Kishtwar, Inspector Firdous Ahmed, assisted by IC PP Dool, PSI Shubam Sharma and IC PP Padyarana, PSI Manjeet Singh carried out intensive investigations under the command of Dy. SP Hqrs, Dr. Ishan Gupta and Additional SP Kishtwar, Pardeep Singh Goria.
In Dool burglary case, four persons arrested were Muzamil Hussain, son of Ghulam Rasool, resident of Dool; Arif Hussain, son of Ghulam Rasool, resident of Dool; Jaleel Ahmed, son of Zubair Ahmed, resident of Nagole Dool and Shahid Hussain, son of Ghulam Qadir, resident of Pralood Dool.
As per the Police handout, all the four accused confessed their crime which led to recovery of 69 iron plates worth Rs 3 lakh.
In Padyarana case, three arrested persons were Shabir Ahmed, son of Ghulam Mohd Ahanger, resident of Ahangpura, Dool; Aqib Hussain, son of Mohd Abass, resident of Ahangpura, Dool and Akther Hussain, son of Abdul Rashid, resident of Ahangpura, Dool.
Their disclosures led to the recovery of 6 shuttering iron plates worth Rs 30,000.
