JAMMU, Aug 30: Beginning September, the senior faculty at the Government Medical College Jammu shall also provide the night emergency care at the hospital.
As per an order issued by the Principal and Dean, Government Medical College Jammu, Dr Ashutosh Gupta, senior faculty members of Medicine, Anaesthesia, Surgery, Orthopaedics, Pathology, Microbiology, and Biochemistry Department shall remain present at the Emergency wing of the hospital after the routine working hours from 4:30 Pm to 10 Pm on all week days for better patient care at the hospital.
The senior faculty members have to supervise the overall functioning of the Emergency services and ensure that all the staff including Residents/Paramedics/MTs are in proper dress code which include their name plates depicting their names and designation.
Further, as per the order, the senior faculty members will take regular rounds in the emergency triage and wards and will supervise the treatment being provided to the patients in emergency. They will also identify areas of improvement and convey the same to the undersigned on regular basis.
