JAMMU, Dec 4: Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K unit here today staged a protest demonstration demanding deportation of Rohingyas from Jammu.
The protest was led by Manish Sahni, president Shiv Sena J&K.
Addressing the protesters Sahni expressed concern over increasing crime in Jammu with trafficking of women, drug smuggling and kidnapping cases on rise.
He said that there shall be a thorough investigation of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis residing illegally in J&K.
Holding placards with slogans in support of their demands, Shiv Sainiks gathered at Indira Chowk and raised slogans against the illegal settlement of Rohingyas here.
The Shiv Sena leader cited cases wherein women from outside were brought here and got married to locals.
“J&K is a sensitive area and bringing foreign women here and marrying them with locals can be a part of some conspiracy to threaten the security of the country,” he maintained adding: “Some locals are helping Rohingyas should also be investigated.”
Sahni also said that if police does not take any concrete action, then Shiv Saina will drive the Rohingyas out from Jammu.
Meenakshi Chhibber, Rakesh Gupta, G.I Singh, Balwat Singh, Raj Singh, Mangu Ram, Rajinder Sehgal, Pooja Devi, Jagbir, Vishal Singh, Sohan Lal and others were also present on the occasion.
