Seminar on ‘Trends in Teacher Education’ held

JAMMU, May 5: Ranjit College of Education (RCE) in collaboration with NCT organised a one day national seminar on ‘Trends in Teacher Education’.
The inaugural session stated with the lightening of lamp by the dignitaries including S. Ranjit Singh, Chief Patron RCE; Dr. Minakshi Kilam, Registrar University of Jammu; Dr. Darshana Sharma, Dr. Anurag Gangal, Dr. Jaspal Singh from University of Jammu, Dr. Nutan Rasotra, Principal GDC Udhampur, Manmeet Singh, Principal, Dr. Renu Gangal, Prof. C.L Shivgotra and others.
Manmeet Singh, Chairman RCE in his address highlighted the importance of theme and sub-theme of the seminar.
Dr Khusvinder Kumar, President CTE, Pb & Chd Chapter was the key note speaker and he gave a brief summary of the trends in education since medival period covering pre-independence and post-independence periods.
Dr Sandeep Sawhney delivered Dr. D.R Vij Memorial Lecture wherein he highlighted the qualities of Dr. D.R Vij and the importance of teacher-student relation.
At valedictory function of the seminar Prof. Ashok Aima VC Central University of Jammu was the chief guest while Pankaj Dogra, Sr. Vice President FORCE presided over while Pardeep Dutta, Sr. Editor Times Now and Col M.M Shah were also present.
The News letter of the College ‘RCE Bulletein’ was released by the chief guest on this occasion.
