SEECC appeals employees to support Feb 13 protest prog

JAMMU, Feb 10: The School Education Employees Coordination Committee, an amalgam of all the employees bodies of the School Education   Department today appealed to all the employees of various Govt Departments and Public Sector Undertakings to accord full support to the February  13 peaceful protest programme outside Raj Bhawan in Jammu.
Addressing a press conference here today Chairman of the Coordination Committee and EJAC president Abdul Qayoom Wani appealed all  the employees in general and Education Department in particular to provide full support to the protest call given by EJAC at Governor’s residence at  Panjtirthi in Jammu. He alleged that Administration is hell bent to weaken the employees movement for their petty interests and pleasing their political bosses for under favour.  He warned such elements to desist from their ill-conceived designs.
Mr Wani further said that after peaceful protest demonstration at Raj Bhawan’s gate, a delegation of the SEECC will submit a memorandum with charter of demands , projecting issues of temporary and permanent employees from various Govt departments and Public Sector Undertakings  He claimed that demonstration will be peaceful and symbolic. He said that a list of officers having anti-trade union attitude will also be served to the Governor.
Mr Wani who was flanked by provincial chairman N S Jamwal, provincial president Ganesh Khajuria, Jamayat Ali, Anil Sharma, Rajinder Gupta and Mohd Rafiq Rather also appealed all the trade union leaders of the State to get united for the betterment of the employees fraternity. He also appealed the Governor N N Vohra, Advisors- Parvez Dewan and Khursheed Ganai besides Chief Secretary B R Sharma to look into the issues of the employees including daily rated/ temporary workers of various categories.
