UDHAMPUR, Feb 29: Secretary Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (DMRRR), Anil Koul, today convened public outreach programme at Sundla panchayat during his extensive tour to Khoon block.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Ghan Sham Singh, DDC members, Amit Sharma and Jasvir Singh along with various district and block level officers besides former PRI representatives and locals participated in the program.
The participants highlighted their issues and concerns including filling of vacant posts in educational institutions, blacktopping of roads, early completion of health and wellness buildings, staff shortage in Government schools, construction of Government buildings for Anganwadi centers, acute shortage of drinking water in Babey village, upgrading Government High School to Higher Secondary School, installation of hand pumps, speedy completion of PMGSY roads, coverage of left out beneficiaries under PMAY, opening of a bank branch at Dhema and water pipe leakage in several areas.
Responding to the demands and grievances of the public, Secretary assured them that their issues would be prioritized for redressal, while issuing on the spot directions to the concerned officers for addressing the same.
Secretary had an exclusive interaction with the attendees during the darbar, promptly resolving many issues and providing clear directions for the remaining concerns.
Anil Koul also inspected the stalls established, on the occasion, by different government departments like Agriculture, Horticulture, Health, Animal and Sheep Husbandry to raise awareness among the common masses regarding their schemes. He interacted with the staff members and beneficiaries of various schemes and had a detailed review of implementation of these schemes besides seeking feedback from the beneficiaries.
Later, Secretary handed over power tiller machines and distributed Ayushman Bharat Sehat cards among the beneficiaries.
