JAMMU, May 8: The SDRF 2nd Bn., Jammu conducted a mock drill exercise on the direction of Zahid Manhas, Commandant SDRF IInd Bn in IIT Jammu in collaboration with Medical and Fire Services teams.
A simulated scenario was created to show different types of disasters that may occur due to enemy air raids, firing incidents & structure collapse etc.
SDRF team responded in shortest possible time i.e 22 minutes and displayed a wonderful mock drill witnessed by about 400 staff members and students of IIT Jammu. Questions were entertained by the demonstrators and supervisory officers to clear the doubts.

Among others who remained present on the occasion were Director IIT Jammu Professor Manoj Singh Gaur Faculty members, Security Staff and Student of IIT Jammu.The team comprising of 35 SDRF personnel six Fire Service and two personnel from medical department participated in the event. Officers lauded the wonderful demonstration exhibited by the team and advised them to exhibit the same enthusiasm in real time scenario disaster response.
