Srinagar, Nov 3: The district administration today sealed office of Vista Group and ordered freezing of its bank account over its fake registration.
The sealing of Vista office came a day after Excelsior reported that the registration certificate of the group is fake and its chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) have questionable Aadhar Cards besides it has no office in Gurgaon, which it claims.
After the Vista expose, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Srinagar, Syed Haneef Balkhi, yesterday issued summons to the chairman of Vista Group, Burhan Baig, to appear in the office of Sub-District Magistrate Srinagar (E) to clarify his position over fake registration.
The order of freezing the account and sealing of the office was issued by Sub Divisional Magistrate, Srinagar vide No. SDM/SGR/E/East/238-41 dated 03-11-2016 this afternoon after hearing of Vista Group in his office.
A case was listed for hearing today and Assistant Labour Commissioner Srinagar, the certificate issuing authority, and Burhan Beig, Proprietor of M/S Vista Group, 110/2 Wazir Bagh, Srinagar along with his counsel were present in the office of SDM Srinagar.
The Assistant Labour Commissioner presented a report vide No. ALC/Sgr/2016/531-34 sought by the Executive Magistrate 1st Class, Srinagar, which revealed that the registration certificate (bearing No. 8714/A/III/Sgr dated 20.12.2014 shown to be issued to M/S Vista Group, 110/2 Wazir Bagh, Srinagar) is fake and false and there was no record available in the office. The report revealed that the Registration Certificate has been issued to M/S Saalah and Co, Maharaj Bazar, Srinagar for the year 2014-2017.
A battery of lawyers were representing the Vista Group before SDM Srinagar (E) but after report from the Assistant Labour Commissioner Kashmir that the registration number of Vista Group is fake, the SDM ordered sealing of the Vista office and freezing of its bank account.
Burhan Beig’s counsel on being asked about the functioning of the accounts provided a copy statement of the Account bearing No. 916020037797791 operating in the name of Vista Group 110/2 Wazir Bagh, Srinagar in Axis Bank.
“Account bearing No. 916020037797791 operating in the name of Vista Group 110/2 Wazir Bagh, Srinagr in Axis Bank is frozen forthwith till further orders,” the SDM said and directed Tehsil, South Srinagar (Executive Magistrate Ist Class) to seal the Vista office and submit a report in this regard.
Station House Officer, Rajbagh was asked to provide necessary police assistance to the Tehsildar (Executive Magistrate 1st Class) to avoid any law and order problem. The case has been listed on November 7.
The Tehsildar South Srinagar along with police sealed the office of Vista Group this afternoon and a letter was also sent to Manager Axis Bank Srinagar to freeze Vista Group account.
The letter addressed to Manager Axis Bank Srinagar (No. SDM/SGR/E/Estt/242 dated 03/11/16) reads: “The account bearing No. 916020037797791 in the name of Vista Group, 110/2 Wazir Bagh, Srinagar be freezed forthwith till further orders.”
The group had invited applications for various jobs and had received 4300 applications before it was sealed today. The group was already under scanner after doubts about its claims.
